The Acoma Collection of three shawls and three cowls is inspired by the beautiful Acoma pottery. Each design is named for one of the spelling variations of ‘Acoma’. Techniques include intarsia, slipped stitches and stranded colorwork.
A portion of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to the Pueblo Scholarship fund.
Ako
An asymmetrical cowl worked on the bias from the left neck seam, featuring an intarsia insert, stripes and short row shaping. The top edge of the cowl is turned down for a 3” cuff. This design is suitable for sport or dk weight yarns. Remember to adjust yardage for different yarns. The final size will vary according to individual tension and yarn brand.
Materials used for sample (larger size) ~ weighs 98g:
Malabrigo Yarn Arroyo
Color A: 1 skein – Black (80% of total used)
Color B: 1 skein – Natural (6% of total used)
Color C: 1 skein – Sunset (14% of total used)
