To me, there is always something special about keeping things simple…in this case the simplicity of garter stitch bands in contrast to a mesh lace. Sometimes when working so simply there is a special surprise – that AHA moment. It happened here when the bands, because of the vertical “spines”, created a surprise with the zig-zag movement throughout the wrap. Experiment by making the wrap larger or smaller by adding or subtracting multiples of stitches or change the drape by using heavier yarn…or what about using mohair!? Happy Knitting!
