Aguacero Shawl
Aguacero Shawl will keep you elegant and cozy on crisp fall mornings and during chilly spring rains. This elongated crescent shawl features a garter stitch body and a declicate, flowing stitch pattern along the bottom edge. The design is worked sideways, with just a couple stitches to cast on and bind off at each tip. That special skein of fingering weight yarn in a semi-solid shade will be right at home in this one-skein pattern.
This pattern assumes knowledge of basic lace, cabling, increasing, and decreasing. Both charts and written directions are included for all stitch patterns. A schematic is included, showing knitting direction & measurements for blocking.
Suggested Yarn: Unwind Yarn Company Journey Sock, or other fingering weight yarn that knits to gauge.
Sizes: One Size
Wingspan: 75” / 190.5 cm
Height at Center: 10” / 20.5 cm
Yarn Requirements: 430 yards / 393 m
Designer note - I was able to squeeze my shawl out of just one skein of the recommended yarn (400yds per skein) with about 2g left. I’d recommend using a yarn with at least 430yds per skein to ensure you don’t run out!
Gauge: 24 sts and 34 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Garter St
