A simple and lacy crescent that is suitable to show off the beautiful colors in gradient yarns.

Pick a colorful gradient cake to make a statement, or a more neutral colorway, to wear it with most things in your wardrobe. Use a strand of lacy mohair to turn a summer yarn into a winter-ready yarn.

Skill level
Beginner – you need to know how to make Dc stitches, chains, popcorn stitches and slip stitches. You can follow along with the video tutorial and then continue working off pattern if you want to.

Finished size
If you use the recommended yarn, you will get a shawl that is about 250 cm or 98″ in length and 60 cm or 24″ in width.

Notions
You will need a cake of gradient yarn (approximately 800 meters or 200 grams of size 2 yarn) and companion lace-weight mohair yarn (800 meters – actual weight in grams may vary from one brand to another). You will work with these held together.

Alternatively, you can choose any fluffy aran or weight 4 yarn, also about 800 grams. Choose an airy yarn for the best results.

You’ll also need a 6 mm hook and a tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.
