Afternoon Tea Mosaic FATW6
AFTERNOON TEA is a fun and simple overlay mosaic crochet pattern designed to be used as a monochrome or fully coloured design.
This is the 12th pattern in the GARDEN-themed blanket and is part of the Friends Around the World 6th Anniversary CAL (FATW6) “Adventures in Mosaic Crochet” hosted by CAL – Crochet A Long.
Links to all past and future patterns can be found on their blog: www.calcrochetalong.com

All patterns in the CAL are design to fit together with each having a pattern repeat of 48 stitches. Each designer will have their own way of setting out and describing the pattern make, but it’s a great way of getting to grips with mosaic crochet and a good way to get an introduction to each designer.
I really hope you like AFTERNOON TEA. I wanted to create something that was fun and evoked those lovely summer days, sitting in the garden, eating ice cream and sipping at a nice cup of tea! Is that just a British thing?
Measurements
Each repeat measures, approximately:
4.5” x 6.5” (11.5 cms x 16.5 cms)
Yarn
Yarn amounts needed (in metres) for each pattern repeat:
(A) Gold: 40 - 50
(B) Cream: 60 - 70
(C) Brown: 2 - 4
(D) Pink: 12 - 20
(E) Red: 2 - 4
Make sure you multiply up the amounts needed by the number of pattern repeats you want to make. If you are making the monochrome version, you will need around 60 - 80 metres of coloured yarn and 60 - 70 metres of background colour (cream).
Notation
Stitches are in US notation, but all is explained in the Technical Stitch Directory, included as part of the pattern.
