Gauge given in pattern is per 10 cm / 4”. This was omitted in error, & will be updated
Button band instructions should read “3 sts for every 4 rows”.
After the Storm hat & cardigan set, sized for approximately 0-3 months. The cardigan is a top-down raglan with a textured yoke of coloured stripes. It features waist increases to accommodate bulky baby bums and is finished with applied button bands. The cardigan body is worked flat, & sleeves are worked in the round.
The cardigan measures 44 cm / 17.5” at chest; 16 cm / 6” from underarm to hem.
The hat is worked from bottom up, in the round, and features matching stripes. It measures 33cm / 13” circumference.
Hat & cardigan are modelled by an 8lb newborn with sleeve cuffs & hat hem turned up.
Gauge: 26 st & 34 rows per 10cm / 4”in stocking (stockinette) stitch
Needle: Needle 3 mm or size needed to achieve gauge; your preferred type for working flat, and for small circumference in the round (for sleeves & hat)
