Inspired by beautiful yet destructive flames, After the Fire mittens feature a striking graphic design. With their seamless construction and straightforward instructions, you’ll knit these up in a flash.

Six different sizes are made by changing gauge, so dive into your stash for a pair of colours and get going right away. Most sizes are made with DK weight yarn for cosy warmth. Fingering weight yarn will give you a child’s size, and worsted weight a men’s medium or large.

About the Sample
Grey/orange sample pictured fits Women’s Medium (hand circumference 7.5”/19cm) with 0.5”/1.5cm positive ease.
I used DK weight yarn as follows: MC: 29g/75 yards/65m; CC: 24g/60 yards/55m.
I used US6/4mm as the main needles, and knit at 23 sts & 25 rnds = 4”/10cm.

*This pattern was initially launched as a fundraiser for the Environmental Defense Fund, an international nonprofit tackling climate change. This was in response to the Australian Wildfires in early 2020. It raised £100 ($127.57), see donation receipt in photos. Thank you so much for your generous support. I’m so grateful. It has now reverted to regular sales.*
