Aethereal Doll's Dress
Dress for 6” Hitty type doll. Knitted with any leftovers of 2 ply Laceweight yarn. I used YarnAddict’s pure silk lace which has been in my stash for so many years, I’m not sure it’s still made but the precise laceweight you use, is not important.
This pattern uses original Victorian lace edging pattern for the skirt and a simple bodice which should work for different types of reproduction 19thC six inch doll. Can knit this with or without beading. Pattern shows up best if worn over plain, woven underdress of contrasting colour.
The skirt is knitted sideways and flat, then seamed. The bodice and sleeves are worked on magic looped circular needles or dpns.
Additional gauge info: gauge is hard to measure and also not entirely crucial for this as the bodice and skirt are stretchy, and hopefully would work for thinner or larger 6” (ish) dolls.
