Adult Mix & Match Hat
As with the Mix & Match Sweater this hat comes with a variety of options on how to knit it. There are two options for the brim (a regular brim and a dipped brim lower at the back), and two options for the body of the hat (stockinette and a texture pattern). Further, the hat comes with the option of knitting it out of Worsted Weight, DK Weight or Fingering Weight held double. All of these options mean you can knit this pattern several times and have very different looking outcomes with every iteration, giving you a unique hat each time.
Please note there is a matching Sweater pattern to this sweater as well the Adult Mix & Match Sweater - so if you purchase the patterns together as an E-Book you will be saving 25% off the total price compared to purchasing the patterns separately.
What you will need:
•Yarn – 100g Worsted weight Yarn (approx. 200m/220 yds); or 100g DK weight Yarn (approx. 210m/230yds). Yarn used in sample – Into The Whirled – Dresden DK in the Mildly Amusing Colourway (Kettle Dyed) 211m/231yds per 100gm – Alternatively you can also use fingering weight yarn held double.
•Needles – 4mm (US6) 16” circular for knitting in the round, a longer cable for magic loop or DPNs. You will need to use DPN’s or magic loop for the crown decreases.

- DPN’s for I-Cord (if doing this option)
- A tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
• Gauge – Approximately 5.5 sts/inch in the main body pattern, un-stretched and un-blocked
• Size – Adult Small, (Adult Medium, Adult Large) - finished hat circumference approximately 43cm /17 inches (48cm/19 inches, 53cm/21 inches). Please note the measurements are measured un-stretched and so the hat will stretch to fit a larger circumference head. Sample hat is the Adult Medium on a 24inch head.
