This is my original pattern to crochet yourself an Adorable Monster. You can use mohair-type yarn to make a lovely furry little guy, maybe an Adorable Snow Monster (the smaller, cuter relative of the Abominable Snowman), or a Flaming Adorable Fire Monster. Or use ordinary yarn to make a smooth one, like my Tree Monster and Rainbow Monster, with their great big hands and fuzzy ruffs around their faces.

The pattern is quite straightforward and suitable for beginner/intermediate crocheters. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi. The pattern will be sent to you as a PDF file (you will need Adobe acrobat to open it) within 24 hours in most cases and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have as you are making it.

To make it you will need:
Yarn for the body: 50g mohair mix or similar type of yarn, double knitting weight.
- alternatively, 50g yarn, double knitting weight.
25g yarn, double knitting weight, for face, hands and feet.
Small amount of black yarn to embroider mouth.
Stuffing.
Wire pet brush (slicker).
1 pair of 13.5mm safety eyes
Tapestry needle.
3.5mm hook (US E hook).

Finished size: approximately 6” tall

Note: this pattern is very similar to my Little Yeti and Bigfoot pattern. This pattern includes extra information on how to make a monster using fluffy mohair-type yarn, including a different way to make the ruff. With the Yeti and Bigfoot pattern the mouth is sewn in a different way, there is an extra round on the face, and the arms have the thumb made in another round. Since the patterns are so similar, you can buy the Yeti and Bigfoot pattern and receive this pattern for free (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/yeti-and-bigfoot-...). You can swap any elements between the patterns, depending on how you want your monster to look.
