Adalina Baby Dress
Simple techniques give this sweet dress a firmly knit bodice and a very full skirt with lots of soft, silky draping.
Skill Level: Easy
Materials:
- Sport Weight Yarn approx 100 to 110 yds contrast color (CC) and 300 to 400 yds Main Color (MC). 100% cotton works well for the smaller sizes. For 12 to 24 months the weight of the full skirt becomes an issue with 100% cotton. A cotton blend or acrylic yarn works best for these sizes. Look for a yarn with 275 yards or more per 100 grams, such as Premier Cotton Fair or Patons Beehive Baby Sport. Size 0/3 sample shown was made with Omega Fontana in White (CC) and Pink (MC).
- Size 3 / 3.25mm 16 in circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge for bodice garter stitch
- Size 8 / 5mm 24 in or longer circular needles for skirt stocking stitch or size needed to obtain gauge
- Stitch holder or waste yarn
- Tapestry needle
