The Acoma Collection of three shawls and three cowls is inspired by the beautiful Acoma pottery. Each design is named for one of the spelling variations of ‘Acoma’. Techniques include intarsia, slipped stitches and stranded colorwork.
Acuco
A stranded colorwork cowl knitted in the round, worked from charts, which are in colors. Change the width of the cowl using the multiple provided, or change the length of the cowl by omitting or repeating any of the sections. The pattern includes links to videos for provisional cast on, removing the cast on and kitchener seaming. You can choose to give the cowl a half-twist before grafting to created a mobius strip, if desired. The design is suitable for fingering weight yarns ~ be sure to adjust yarn requirements when making substitutions.
