GRAFTING or Kitchener Stitch or Weaving = SOCKS = STOCKINETTE STITCH:
Put live stitches equally on two double pointed needles. Thread tapestry (darning) needle with the 18” of cut end from finished work.
Work from right to left.
On front needle:
1. Pass tapestry needle through as if to knit, drop stitch off needle
2. Pass tapestry needle through as if to purl, leave stitch on needle
On back needle:
1. Pass tapestry needle through as if to purl, drop stitch off needle
2. Pass tapestry needle through as if to knit, leave stitch on needle
Keep the tension loose. When done, working from right to left, tighten any stitch that needs it and darn in the end.
