My Grandma Tye made me mittens. Brown dense wool mittens that I loved. Every year I had to confess that I had lost yet another one, for some reason, always the left one. And every year without a cross word to me she would make me a new pair. Never just the left, for they had to match. I have two right mittens and no Grandma Tye to make these for me anymore. But she taught me to knit, so here is my careful counting out of what I have left, with a flap to hopefully keep them from being lost. P. S…I jazzed up the yarn choice.
