This shawl is a great project for anybody: not too difficult for a beginner but interesting enough for advanced knitters too.
The shawl features both stripes and lace: this gives endless opportunities for variations and I can’t wait to see what colour combinations people will choose. The mixture of stripes and lace also means that this is a really adaptable pattern, you can create a more elegant shawl or pick strong, contrasting colours for a more casual look.
The pattern includes both written instructions and charts.

Use solid or semisolid yarn, sport or fingering weight.
Busy yarns wouldn’t work well with this pattern.

GAUGE
21 sts x 40 rows in 10 cm (4 inches) in st st.
Please note that in this particular project getting the
right gauge is not essential. However, working with
different yarn weight / gauge will effect both the yardage
and the final size of the project as well.
