Accordian Hat
Our Accordian Hat is a whimsical Beanie/Cloche style hat knitted out of DK/Sport weight yarn. The pattern consists of a rolled brim, followed by horizontal rings that wrap around the body of the hat every inch or so. The rings bubble outward to give an “accordian-like” appearance. This hat would best be knitted out of a Wool blend yarn, like Wool/Silk or Wool/Bamboo. The Wool will give body, while the Silk or Bamboo will provide softness & drape. This hat should be able to easily be made out of 1 skein of yarn. The pattern is rather easy, but I gave it an Intermediate Skill Level because of switching to double point needles while decreasing & shaping the crown. If you are comfortable working with double point needles, then this should be an easy pattern for you!
