Acai

Everyone needs a squishy, easy-to-throw-on hat to keep their ears toasty this winter! This slouchy, textured hat is deliciously warm and perfect for showing off pretty hand dyed, variegated and solid yarns. It is fully reversible and looks equally marvellous on both sides!

Simple to adjust and in available in five glorious sizes, it’s easy to create an Acai for everyone before those frosty mornings arrive.

Materials

Ginger’s Hand Dyed Super Sheep Aran (100 g / 3.53 oz, 166 m / 182 yds, 100% BFL), 1 skein
Shade: Father of Funk
Yardage used: 90 (100, 130, 150, 166)m

Any aran or heavy worsted weight yarn that knits to gauge can be used.

4.5mm / US7 circular needle 40cm / 16in length (or 80cm / 32in length for magic loop)
5mm / US8 circular needle 40cm / 16in length (or 80cm / 32in length for magic loop)
5mm / US8 set of DPNs for crown decreases, or longer circular needle for magic loop

19 sts and 32 rows over 10cm / 4in in slipped stitch rib, using 5mm / US8 (blocked)
