Aapo-socks are a little tribute to Seitsemän veljestä (The Seven Brothers) novel by Aleksis Kivi, the national author of Finland. Aapo was the second oldest of the brothers with his twin, Tuomas. Aapo was logical, peaceful and the tallest of the brothers.

The pattern is written for magic loop, but can easily be modified for double pointed needles.

100 g of fingering weight yarn, app. 400 m/ 437 yds per 100 g. The sample socks (size M) were knitted with Järbo Junior Raggi (75% Wool, 25% Nylon, 200 m / 219 yds per 50 g) in colourway 68423 White Grey.
