Aaku Halter Top
Aaku Halter Top is worked top down. The yolk is worked flat in garter and increases are made using decorative yo increases which also double up as button holes to fix the halter straps in place. Then stitches are cast on and joined to knit in the round, for the body section. This top is reversible and can be worn with reverse stockinette as the body section by turning the garment inside out. The pattern instructions are written, and the leaf lace is both charted and written.
The hater top is designed in collaboration with Indesco for their 4th edition - Spices of India.
My chosen spice is the Bay-leaf. The design element is incorporated in the pattern as a detachable leaf embellishment, strung to the halter strap and worn on the back of the neck.
The project was tested and modelled by @poojascrochet.
