This pattern is part of the Found Objects collection. This project was based on the idea that inspiration can be found in every nook and cranny of our daily lives, especially the ones that seem the most unremarkable. Each piece in this collection is based on a found object. These objects were gathered from the places I see and inhabit every day. Every item I chose had a story to share, and from those stories came inspiration for seven knitted accessories, which may someday, in turn, inspire someone else.

Repeating lines and structured angles that would look right at home on a blueprint adorn A Tireless Architect. The stub of a pencil which has drawn out many complex schematics inspired this cowl, which uses only knit and purl stitches as the building blocks to create a sophisticated geometric motif.

Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) 24” (60 cm) circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
Yarn: 240 yards (219 metres), 115 g worsted weight yarn
