A tee
So many interesting details in this top!
Back starts wider and series of decreasing stitches creates diagonal shaping. Front starts narrower and series of yarn overs creates diagonal shaping. Garter stitch side panels go up to the armholes and all the way to the shoulders. Shoulder seams are done with exposed 3-needlle-BO.
All the details come together with Elbow-length sleeves and clean crewneck. This modern top is super fun to knit and very versatile to wear.
GAUGE
The gauge is 18 sts 26 rows / 4”x4”
If you are knitting with cotton yarn, your row gauge will be 27 or 28 rows.
For 27 rows, please add extra 4 rows in the body and 2 rows for armhole.
For 28 rows, please add extra 6 rows in the body and 4 rows for armhole.
YARN
The samples are knitted with linen and cotton as a summer piece. I have knitted with open gauge (bigger gauge than suggested yarn gauge) for the lighter fabric. Knitting with wool will make a fun layer for chilly days.
Yardage - S (M, L, XL) - 700 (800, 870, 950) yards.
