A Spotted Duck
Project combines knitting, crocheting, and a small amount of simple embroidery.

Foam rubber-stuffed duck
Perfect for tots
His body is knitted in stockinette stitch, his beak and the decorative motifs are done in single crochet. Several yards of sport weight yarn needed to whipstitch sections together, to see on dots and triangles, and to embroider eye pupils.
Size: length 27 1/4” - height 32”
Supplies:
800-900 yds sturdy superbulky yarn
5-10 yds sport weight yard
6 “ thick piece of foam rubber 21” x 32”
A pink felt rectangle 16 1/2” x 5”
Yarn needle
Optional: embroidery or needlepoint needle
Stitches used:
- knit stockinette
- crochet chain
- single crochet
- embroidery chain stitch
