In researching Russian and Ukrainian knitting books published from 1950 to 1970, my attention was drawn to a method of working the corner borders of square shawls. I have adapted the technique for the corners of this triangular shawl.
I create chart for corners and borders in this triangular shawl, using my computer designer skills.
I used traditional Orenburg lace elements for the shawl and border “teeth”: Peas as the framework for the center medallion that contains the butterfly and Peas, Honeycomb, Heart, Diagonals, Strawberry, and Large Strawberry for the butterfly itself - which looks exactly as i wish it to look!

Shawl knitted from bottom to top, expending each row by 2 yarn over’s, and besides amount of stitches between this 2 yo corresponds to the row number, for example : row 23 – has 23 sts between yarn over’s( it is very easy for knitter to check himself if any mistake).

Artists of many cultures and time periods have depicted butterflies; they even appear in Egyptian hieroglyphs crafted 3,500 years ago. Writers and poets from around the world have found them worthy of mention. Over the centuries, butterflies have symbolized love, the soul, or rebirth. Many people believe that good luck will come when a butterfly lands on you.

Изучая русские книги и учебники по вязанию я обратила внимание на построение углов в шалях.
Я адаптировала эту идею для треугольной шали - косынки.
Здесь пригодились мои навыки и опыт работы в компьютерном дизайне. Я создала схему углов и записала ее.
В шале использованы традиционные Оренбургские элементы : горох, косорядки,глухотимки,соты, червонки ….

Нумерация рядов совпадает с количеством петель между маркерами.Например: ряд 25 - 25 петель между маркерами.
