A Pochette in Crochet
This pattern is
available for free.
THIS wrap-over purse can be made in the same silk as one’s beret or to tone with a frock or coat.
Materials:
About 1 oz. colored crochet silk on ball, ¼ oz. black for band.
Crepe jumper-silk, split in two, which was left over from a beret was used to make the original. Splitting the silk is a tiresome task, but it makes a fine thread that can be used for small articles such as purses and powder-puff and comb cases. Crochet needle No. 5 or 6, a small piece of brown coat canvas and a small piece of figured or plain silk material for lining.
Colors in original were deep beige for main part of bag and roses, black for band and deep bluish-green for leaves and stems.
