This beginner friendly pattern is my May Scarf of the Month Club CAL Pattern.

This stitch pattern is easy to resize to make the scarf wider, or longer/shorter.

I have provided the stitch multiple in the post.

The edging is created at the beginning so you can make this without cutting and reattaching the yarn.

An optional fringe has been added to my scarf - but you can omit this and either leave the scarf as is, or seam the 2 ends to make yourself a lovely infinity scarf instead.
