Originally published in 1928.
The jumper and insertion trimming are worked all in one piece, the border at lower edges only being knitted separately and sewn on. The square neck-opening and edges of jumper and sleeves are finished with a pretty crochet edging which is worked on after jumper is completd.
Materials:
* Two hanks and 1 ball of Ardern’s Star Sylko No. 3
Measurements:
- Length from top of shoulder to lower edge of garment: 21 inches (53.35 cm)
- Width round lower edge of lace on sleeve: 14 inches (35.56 cm)
- Width round of lace at lower edge of garment: 40 inches (101.6 cm)
The pattern calls for bone knitting needles size 12 and crochet hook size 12 (OLD UK). The crochet instructions are given in UK terminology.
