This captivating knitting pattern is inspired by the ancient Latvian fascination with the celestial bodies, particularly the Sun and Moon. In Latvian folklore and culture, they hold profound significance, symbolising light and guidance and cycles of life, renewal, and harmony with nature.

The collar is worked seamlessly from the top down, initially flat, before being joined in the round with steeks on each side. The colourwork motif mirrors the front and back, creating a unified design.

With its intricate motifs and subtle elegance, this collar is destined to be a beloved addition to your wardrobe. It represents the beauty and interconnectedness of all things under the celestial dome.

Let this accessory serve as a radiant tribute to the divine luminaries that have enchanted hearts and minds for centuries, bringing light and inspiration to all who gaze upon them.
