A Little Something Warm
It’s a neck warmer! It’s a headband and ear warmer! It’s both! Small enough to tuck in your pocket, yet big enough to warm your neck, this idea has been brewing for a long time, and I’ve finally put it together to make a little something warm for you. I’ve always thought Caribou yarn would make a terrific, plushy lining for headbands, cowls, mittens and hats. After finishing a pair of fingerless mitts with Stella Jacq, I had approximately half a skein remaining and thought the lovely jacquard color patterning would also do well as a headband. I had two colors of Caribou remaining from my last Double Up! Project, and decided all of those lonely, partially used skeins would combine nicely into this little something, something to warm you up in the New Year. So, here it is - A Little Something Warm, for you.
Welcome 2017!
Thank you to Emily for modeling!
Enjoy & keep warm! Happy New Year!
Materials
1 skein of Adriafil, Stella Jacq, 109 yards, color #084.
2 skeins of HiKoo Caribou, 93 yards, 1 each of 2 colors, #066 and #003. (Of course, you may use only one color.) You will be able to get two neck warmers or headbands from these materials. Please, by all means, if you would like to make this as a deeper cowl, feel free to knit more rounds. Have fun! Any worsted weight yarn may be substituted for the outside of the headband.
Size 7 circular needles, 16” length. Yarn needle.
