1200, (1300, 1450, 1500, 1550, 1750, 1900) yards worsted weight yarn
Size #8 (5.mm) circular needles in 32” or longer and 16” or double points for sleeve

Yarn used in the Test Knit Models. I used the green Encore Tweed in color 2334, Karen used a brown Universal Classic Worsted color 7066, Barbara used Wool Ease in Deep Rose Heather, Cherie used a pastel Hobby Lobby yarn called I Love This Yarn. A big Thank You to my test knitters!

Gauge: 18sts by 24 rows over 4” in stocking stitch (you will want to do a swatch to make sure you get gauge on stitches and rows)

Homework Swatch: Yes, you do need a swatch!
Cast on 18 stitches with worsted weight yarn on Size 8 (5mm) needle. Knit 24 rows in stocking stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row). Your swatch should measure 4” laying flat. You must get 4.5 stitches per inch to meet gauge. Adjust your needle size if you are off until you get gauge. If you choose to just wing it without doing the swatch, you take the chance of your Cardi not fitting and not having enough yarn. Take the time to swatch.
