This lovely scoop neck vest with side shaping features sheep, needles and yarn, a choice of national flowers (roses, thistles, daffodils, or shamrocks) and flags of the patron saints of Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Special techniques involved include stranded colourwork, spit splicing, steeking, corrugated ribbing, and twisted German cast on.

A schematic is included to guide in blocking.

Jamieson & Smith Jumperweight yarn in the following shades:

21 (dark blue); 2 balls in all sizes
FC47 ( medium blue); 1 ball for size 32’’, 2 balls for all other sizes
014 (light blue); 2 balls in all sizes
054 (dark grey); 1 ball in all sizes
027 (medium grey); 2 balls for 50’’ chest, 1 ball in all other sizes
203 (light grey); 1 ball for sizes 32’’ - 42’’, 2 balls for sizes 44’’ - 50’’

If knitting the daffodils you will also require one ball of shade # 2 (orange).

Errata:

These errata only apply to the pattern as it appeared at the British Yarn website where it was titled ‘The Knit Camp Vest’

The bottom rib instructions should read:

Join in the white yarn and work 16 rounds of k3p1 corrugated ribbing (see ‘techniques’) using the white yarn for the knits and the light blue yarn for the purls.
