~This has become my favorite dog walking, grocery fetching and all-over easy to wear cardigan.

Cornelia Hamilton’s Heavens Hand wool was a perfect choice for this garment. The semisolid dye coloration and hard ply compliment the texture of the stitch.

This hip length, long sleeved, semi- fitted garment is constructed from back bottom to fronts- with picked up sleeve cuffs and front bands knit in coordinating rib. This style is flattering to a wide range of body types. There is a bit of waist shaping, but the garment can be made straight up. The deep neck collar can be turned up to keep ears warm when the wind gets nippy. The simplicity of the front is perfect for many types of closure. For a retro style, a knit sash would be a fun option. The side pocket is wider inside than it appears.
The worsted yarn gauge/weight will allow for many great options in every price range.
The skills needed for this garment are combining knit & purl, as well as a few basic increasing and decreasing techniques- followed by stitch pick up and simple short row shaping. This would be a good undertaking for many levels of knitting experience.-
