A Faraway Place
This pattern is part of the Found Objects collection. This project was based on the idea that inspiration can be found in every nook and cranny of our daily lives, especially the ones that seem the most unremarkable. Each piece in this collection is based on a found object. These objects were gathered from the places I see and inhabit every day. Every item I chose had a story to share, and from those stories came inspiration for seven knitted accessories, which may someday, in turn, inspire someone else.
Ribbing and simple cables evoke the gentle ebb and flow of the tides in A Faraway Place. This quick, bulky hat can be worn with the brim folded up to keep your ears extra warm, or unfolded for a slouchier fit.
