A Family Tam
The tam is made from four colors of yarn, but never more than two in a round, as is customary in traditional Fair Isle knitting. It is comprised of ribbing, a border pattern area, and the wheel area in which the top part of the tam is created.
Featured Techniques: Double Cast-On, Tubular Ribbing, Working with a yarn in each hand, Traditional border and tam wheel patterns, The center double decrease, I-cord finish.
Yarn: sport weight
Sizes: 18”, 20”, 22”, 24” (toddler through adult)
