Some years ago, fabric yarn (zpagetti) became a crazy succes, at least in Spain, were I come from. I don’t know if the “zpagettimania” is still trendy or not, because I don’t see it that much here in Amsterdam. Anyway, I don’t care, I love this tutorial, I think is quick and useful. It’s a very good project for you newbies, but is also interesting if you’re a pro and you can crochet them in one or two hours.

Materials you’ll need:

Fabric yarn (you can buy it or make it yourself from old t-shirts)
Crochet hook in the proper size. (I’ve used number 10, but zpagetti is highly variable from one skein to another, so you should try and choose the one you like the most)
A few meters of red and white cotton for the embellishments. Use a thick cotton (suitable for 6mm or 8mm hooks)
Needle big enough to thread your cotton when embroidering and your zpagetti when fastening off the basket.
