This amazing swing jacket keeps you busy and keeps you on your toes but it is a lot of fun to knit and it’s fun to be in control. In this design we used Merino VI a 100% merino yarn and it is striped with Gianna, a blend of natural fibers that are twisted and blend to create the ultimate space dye. The body is worked from side to side. With the stripe sections, they are 1 row stripes so you work Merino six in knit across the row. You now need the Gianna but it’s at the opposite end. Hold onto your stitches slide your needle back to Gianna is at the start of the needle. Knit across the row. Now you will have both yarns at the opposite end. Turn your work, Pick up Merino VI and purl across the row. Gianna is next but again it’s at the opposite end. Hold stitches and slide the needle so the point is at the beginning where Gianna is. Purl across the row. When it comes time for just the Merino, it is worked in a short row pattern to create the triangle inserts that make up swing part. These are repeated all the way around.
