8 stitches and 13 rows to 10cm (4“) over stocking stitch using 10mm knitting needles or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.

Hooded Cardigan:
(Size 1: 2 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast + 2 buttons),
(Size 2: 2 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast + 3 buttons),
(Size 3: 3 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast + 3 buttons),
(Size 4: 4 ball main shade, 2 ball contrast + 4 buttons),
(Size 5: 4 ball main shade, 2 ball contrast + 5 buttons).

Cardigan:
(Size 1: 1 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast),
(Size 2: 2 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast),
(Size 3: 2 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast),
(Size 4: 3 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast),
(Size 5: 3 ball main shade, 2 ball contrast).

This pattern requires a stitch holder and when knitting the cardigan, a 6mm (UK4 – USA10) 80cm circular knitting needle.
