22 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm (4”), over stocking stitch using 4mm knitting needles, or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.

The sweater pattern requires a safety pin and each size of the cardigan pattern requires 6 buttons. When knitting the cardigan, a 3.25mm (UK10 – USA3) 100cm circular knitting needle is also required.
