#372 Liv Scarf
This scarf might be small in size, but it definitely adds a big dose of style and lady-like flair to any outfit.
Only a small amount of yarn is needed to knit up this beautifully shaped accent scarf. Lace leaves stagger left and right along the length of the scarf as you knit from one tapered end to the other.
One edge of the scarf is gently shaped with increases for half of the scarf, then that same edge is gently decreased for the second half. Along the way, the leaf shapes are worked from the lace chart with Garter stitch knit-in borders, creating slightly scalloped edges.
Only yarnovers paired with basic knit decreases are needed for the lace design, but please note that the lace is only charted in this pattern.
The scarf is just the right length to wrap the neck twice or be worn as a neck kerchief. Extra pattern repeats could be added in the middle for a slightly longer version (not shown here).
This scarf is a quick project for those experienced with lace. Requiring less than 65 yards per scarf, it’s also a perfect use of stash yarn and a lovely option for a handknit gift.
