Gauge: 19 sts= 4” in V St on 4.5mm crochet hook

Needles/Notions: Size 4.5mm crochet hook.

GAUGE
Work a swatch to determine the gauge:
Ch 19. Set up pattern as follows:
Foundation Row: Working into the 4th chain from hook, dc, ch1, dc (makes 1 V). Skip 2 ch, dc, ch 1, dc in next ch (V), skip 2 ch; repeat from, end with 1 dc in last ch. Turn.
All other rows: Ch 3, * Work V stitch in the V below by working a dc right into the space formed by the ch1 between the 2 dcs in the row below, ch 1 and work another dc into the same space forming another V stitch. Repeat from * to the end of the row. Work a dc into the turning ch. Turn
Work 4 or 5 rows. The swatch should measure 4” across. If it does, continue. If not, adjust your hook size.
