Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Holiday 2007:
“In Fiesta Yarns’ ‘Starburst La Boheme,’ Mari Lynn Patrick’s A-line tunic is light as chiffon, frothy as meringue - and easier to whip up than both. Knit in a double moss stitch, the tank is gathered at the bust with elastic thread. Garter stitching around the neck and armholes gives way to ribbed straps with V-point shaping.”

“Standard-fitting tunic camisole in double seed stitch with gathered detail above the bust, garter trims and v-inset ribbed straps. Sized for X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large. Shown in size Small on page 96.”

Knitted Measurements:

  • X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large)
  • Lower edge 53 (55, 57, 59, 61, 63)“134.5 (139.5, 144.5, 150, 155, 160)cm
  • Above bust (after finishing) 28 (30, 32, 34, 36, 38)“/71 (76, 81, 91.5, 96.5)cm
  • Length 24½ (25, 25, 25½, 26, 26½)“/62 (63.5, 63.5, 65, 66, 67.5)cm

Materials:

  • 5 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7) 4oz/113g hanks (each approx 165yd/151m) of Fiesta Yarns Starburst La Boheme (mohair/rayon/nylon) in quince
  • One pair each sizes 8 and 9 (5 and 5.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
  • One spool of elastic thread
  • Stitch holders

Notes:

  1. The fit of the camisole is based on simple shaping and the ‘drawing in’ of the elastic thread that is sewn in at the finishing stage.
  2. The front is worked straight and the back is worked with straight seam shaping. To familiarize yourself with the pattern, make the front first.
