Sometimes seeing spots is a good sign. Linda Cyr worked the elements of this kicky bag separately- stockinette stitch sack, crocheted polka dots, I-cord handle- in “Lion Wool,” felted the whole shebang, then assembled it around a purchased purse frame and lined it.

MATERIALS

Lion Wool by Lion Brand, 3oz/85g balls, 158yd/144m
2 balls #113 Scarlet
1 ball #99 Winter White

• 5”/12.5cm wide purse frame
• ¾yd/.5m lining fabric
• Size 9 (5.5mm) circular needle 24”/60cm long
• 1 set size 10 (6mm) double pointed knitting needles and H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
• Stitch markers and tapestry needle, sewing thread and needle
