This smart-looking vest is an amazingly versatile layering piece with lots of yummy cable texture!

It features beautiful cable panels separated by 2-stitch twists against a Reverse Stockinette stitch background.

The length is slightly cropped, to work well with today’s higher waistbands. A deep V-neckline is edged with wide ribbing. Generous armholes are also finished with ribbing and are sized to allow the vest to be worn over many different sleeve styles.

Vest is worked from the bottom up in two main pieces. Both the front and back finish with short rows to shape the shoulders and are joined with a 3-needle bind off. Only the sides need to be seamed at finishing.

Cable stitch patterns are both charted and written out.
