A soft linen blend yarn is perfect for an easy-fitting cardigan that can be thrown over many outfits.

The pretty lace pattern is used for both the body and sleeves, giving the cardigan a gently scalloped bottom hem. Knit-in Stockinette stitch side panels shape the fronts. Their angled shapes allow the cardigan to drape nicely at the open front.

Ribbed front borders are knit in for easy knitting. The sleeves are picked up and knit down in the round or in rows.

Shoulders are seamed using a 3-needle bind off and the sides are seamed at finishing.

This pattern would also work well in a merino wool blend for a multi-seasonal design.
