#21 Dress With Striped Shell
A navy blue dress with a plunging neckline that is filled in by a separate red and white striped shell. The shell has a zipper closure at back. The dress is knitted with yarn held doubled, the shell is knitted with a single strand.
Materials for Dress: Columbia Minerva Princessa Sport yarn, 1-oz. pull skeins, 28 (30-30-32) Navy (MC). Boye No. 6 knitting needles. Boye No. 2 steel crochet hook.
Materials for Shell: Columbia Minerva Princessa Sport yarn, 1-oz. pull skeins, 4 (4-5-5) White (W), 3 (3-4-4) Scarlet (S). Boye No. 2 and No. 4 knitting needles. Boye No. 4 steel crochet hook. 7” neck zipper.
Gauge: 4.5 sts - 1’; 6 rows - 1” on dress. 6 sts - 1”; 8 rows - 1” on shell.
