2014 Year of Lace
This pattern was written for beginning lace knitters to ‘get their feet wet’ learning to read different types of lace instructions in their written form. Charts have been added to let you try your hand at those if you wish.
Lace, fingering, sport, and DK weight yarns all can be used for this project. Instructions are given for lace and fingering weights. Simply increase your needle size for other weights of yarn.
Instructions are given for a scarf, a small rectangular shawl, and a large rectangular shawl. The shawls are designed to be extra long for maximum style and warmth.
