(2) A 2-Ply Embroidered Jumper
This pattern is
available for free.
This attractive 2-ply sweater has a pretty embroidered design to lend it distinction. The original was worked in leaf green wool with white bands at neck and cuffs, and a number of colours were introduced into the embroidery. The sweater has two little pockets, each embroidered with the design reproduced on this page.
MATERIALS: Three 2oz. skeins 2-ply green wool, one skein 2-ply white wool, embroidery wool in orange, yellow, black, white, and shades of pink and blue. The jumper is worked on No. 11 and No. 9 knitting needles.
MEASUREMENTS: Length from top of shoulder, 22½in. Width all round at underarm, 35in. Length at sleeve from under-arm, 18½in.
While the front/back are worked bottom up, the sleeves are worked top down.
