21 stitches in width and 27 rows vertically in stockinette stitch and lace pattern = 10 x 10 cm = 4” x 4”.

NEEDLES:
DROPS STRAIGHT NEEDLES OR CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 4 mm = US 6, length 60 or 80 cm = 24” or 32” for lace pattern.
Needle size is only a suggestion! If you have too many stitches on 10 cm = 4” switch to larger needles. If you have too few stitches on 10 cm = 4” switch to smaller needles.
