I designed 1974 to celebrate all things retro while still serving as that timeless piece in your wardrobe with a simple silhouette and classic stripes. The colors I chose for my sample—brown, yellow, orange and red—give me alllll the vintage vibes and have been some of my favorites for as long as I can remember. But you might be more of a pink person or go gaga for greens. Do your thing! Let this pattern serve as a blank slate for your perfect palette. Maybe you’ll discover the color combo you pick screams 1984, 1994 or even 2004—you really can’t go wrong with whatever you decide!

Construction
This sweater is worked in the round seamlessly from the top down.
