Yardage of 1350 yards reflects a full one ounce skein of each of the nine colors used. Obviously, the entire skein of each color will not be required. This would be a good pattern to use up remnants of skeins from other projects.

Sized to fit a man’s small to medium foot: 10.5 inches foot length (26.5 cm.). Options for varying the foot length are given in the pattern. Dimensions for calf and foot circumference and calf length are also given.

Note that the gauge is an average. Gauge varies from 8.5-10 stitches/ inch (2.5 cm.) depending upon location in the sock shaping. The author suggests aiming for 9 stitches and creating the variation by blocking on a sock board.
