“And you gotta give ’em hope. Hope for a better world, hope for a better tomorrow, hope for a better place to come to if the pressures at home are too great. Hope that all will be all right.”
—Harvey Milk
With Garter stitch edges and a Stockinette body, this slouchy top with lowered armholes knits up in no time with simple construction that is perfect for layering. The party gets going with an exuberance* of pom poms placed as you wish: along the neckline, scattered all over as shown, spelling out LOVE—the possibilities are endless! For the pom poms I turned to the expert, Loome founder Vilasinee Bunnag, who showed me some of the many pom pom options you can create with a Loome tool (plus tassels, braids, and more), and we created a rainbow of pom poms to adorn this top.
When you’re strolling the rainbow crosswalk at the intersection of Castro and 18th, or wherever you are, show off your pride and exuberance with this top.
If that’s not the name for a group of pom poms, it should be.
